FTTX carries the quad-play signal from service provider to the subscriber, whether
it is a residence (FTTH), a building (FTTB), a node (FTTN) or desk (FTTD). Convergence Labs provides FTTX &
Multiplexing Training that includes fundamentals of end-to-end passive
infrastructure.
It
is a practical 3 weeks course which is designed to enlighten technicians with
hands-on experience and understanding of difference between ACTIVE and Passive
Optic Networks (PONs).
Basically,
it helps the learners to identify the difference between the two systems how
they offer numerous services in FTTH applications. During the training participants
will learn to design, install, test and maintain Active and Passive Optical
Networks (PONs) / (FTTx) systems.
Prerequisites:
The
aspirant must possess a basic understanding of telecommunications and fiber optic
splicing, termination and testing before choosing this course. The students can
obtain knowledge in the following streams:
- TeleCom Networks Today I or II
- Hands-On Fiber Optic ISP & OSP
Target Audience:
Technicians,
installers, splicers, contractors, union craftsman, facilities managers,
telecom Fiber-to-the-Home/FTTH managers, electricians, and anyone involved in
repairing, installing, maintaining, designing, evaluating, or provisioning
ACTIVE and Passive FTTH systems.
Students Will Become Skilled At:

Installation of FTTH Splicing, Connectors, Closures

Complete Testing FTTH from the Remote to The ONU

Testing the Customer Premise to ensure it is
FTTH Capable
· All Participants will build and complete the hands-on portion
of a FTTH System that will include splicing, connectorization, testing and
troubleshooting
